Flexural Behavior of Stainless Steel V-Stiffened Lipped Channel Beams

Six groups of austenitic 022Cr19Ni10 stainless steel bending specimens with three types cross-sectional forms were used to study the impact V-stiffeners on failure mode and flexural behavior lipped channel beams. These included in web compression zone at 1/3 height near compressed flange no flange, middle 1/2 tensioned flange. The findings show that without a V-stiffener have lower ultimate bearing capacity as result local–distortional interaction buckling. test specimen’s will rise an increase under same stiffening form other fixed parameters. Furthermore, additional effectively width-to-thickness ratio specimen has been V-stiffened, thus increasing by 13% emphasizing distortional buckling issue. Buckling first manifests is caused stress evolution specimen, which constrained V-stiffeners. withstand loads can be improved more successfully through use close For data, finite element simulation was established, results are generally consistent results.
